Assessment: Excel for Marketing
Excel is one of the most important tools for data analysis, regardless of the scope. Of course, the categories of professionals who use Excel to extract information and useful conclusions could not exclude marketeers, or other professionals who work in the field of marketing.
The purpose of the evaluation is to identify the candidates who are able to take advantage of Excel’s capabilities to organize their data and analyze them.
In practice, successful candidates should be able to prepare detailed / aggregate statements and display the data they want using specific functions and tools.
To pass this assessment, candidates must have the skills required to create, format and manage workbooks, as well as use various Excel tools to find and present data.
- Manage Data Cells and Ranges
(Formatting and conditional formatting, cell naming, find and replace) - Formulas and Functions
(SUM, AVERAGE, COUNT, MIN, MAX, CONCAT, IF, AND, OR, FIND, SEARCH, REPLACE, MID, WORKDAY.INTL) - Advanced Formulas
(VALUE, IFERROR, INDEX, MATCH, DAY MONTH, DATE, VLOOKUP, AVERAGEIFS, COUNTIFS) - Advanced Charts and Tables
(Pivot tables and charts, import data, advanced charts)
The assessment uses Microsoft Office 2019
The assessment syllabus covers formulas and functionality common in the following versions of Microsoft Office:
Microsoft Office 2016, Microsoft Office 2019, Microsoft Office 2021, Microsoft 365
Also, the interface of Microsoft Office remains mostly similar for all the above versions of Microsoft Office.
